    Hi Lads

Having serious problems getting Azureus to download anything..

I have opended the ports etc but it will not download/upload anything. It finds the peers and seeds but thats it..

I have done the Port test within the app and it comes back ok. I use IBB.Have tried it in a mates who uses Netsource as his BB provider and I get the same.

It works on the other three machines using that same connection. I also used a different port than they did. I even used the exact same config they used that works and changed the rule on the firewall to my IP..

This has only happened after I recently formatted.

    Any ideas?

You have SP2 don't you? Maybe it's Windows Firewall? Just an idea.

If you have the latest Azureus 2.3.0.0, ensure you have the latest Java version jre 1.5.0.03!

Failure to have the latest version can cause a whole host of problems including slow downloads/uploads. etc

    Yeah the Firewall is disabled...

I think Cabaal nailed it. The new JRE was causing me problems before with Azuerues. I went with an older version after I formatted my machine.. This may be causing the problems so..

Hopefully the new JRE doesnt **** with my system this time around.

Updated Sun's JRE and all is well...

However, the javaw.exe process is maxing out my CPU at 100% every other second.. This as you can imagine is a pain in the arse as it makes doing anything else at the sametime nigh on impossible..

There are a few options in azureus to lower CPU usage. How slow is your pc ?

I have azureus running on a P2 266 and it doesnt even use that much CPU.

Yeah it seems to be something to do with the new JRE as it didn't happen when I went back to an older version. Obviously I can't do this as Azuerus does not work then :/

I am not a fan of the other BT apps before someone goes bitching about Azureus.
