I took it to be a peice of ... but is actually very fast for the net only thing is its NT4 and running with no AV ( yes i know internet suicide)
I know the minute i install McAfee 4.5.1 or the similar for Norton its going to die a slow and painful death so the question is whats the least processor intensive AV software about I can run on this thing I might just install a firewall and hope for the best

It Aint Looking Good mate, Any AV with Realtime protection enabeled is going to affect preformance. A Firewall is a must. AVG is not to harsh

"Minimal hardware configuration which can be used for AVG installation is a PC with 486, 32 MB RAM memory and 15 MB free space on the hard drive.
AVG7 is fully compatible with Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/W2000/WXP operating systems."

[EDIT] I hear NOD 32 Runs on as little as 1.6Mb of RAM Not to sure if its NT4 compatible worth a check though [EDIT]
