Boards gives a free webspace located here: http://www.boards.ie/members/

To put images from any location on the internet (other than uploading attachments) you use image tags: [img]http://www.boards.ie/members/user/picture.jpg[/img]

I'm sorry that took me to a screen with loads of meaningless words on it. How do I upload an image onto my sig. I tried and it ended horribly(see below)

Is the image on your computer or on the internet?

The first one was on my computer but this one is on the internet. What I did was:

    1. I highlighted the text below the image and clicked 'copy'.

    2. I then went the signature thing and clicked 'Insert Image' and then clicked paste

    3. I clicked OK and now all it says is the actual link and no image :o

I'm totally lost. Please help Gordan

    You're nearly there

Can you copy the link location into your reply properly for us (for example is it http://nz.playstation.com/assets/homepage/containers/game_logo.gif . ? or not?)

You have the correct imag tag (but I think you need http://www.nz.playstation....) but you may not have specified the correct location.

Yes thats not what I want in my sig I was just ussing it as an example. So you are saying all I have to do is put http//: in front of it?

OK go to the picture on the internet. Right click the picture. Select "properties" and there you will see the location of the image. Copy the whole location and you should get a long location like you have:
    http//:www.nz.playstation.com/. ../game_logo.gif
but it should not contain the three dots in the middle . .. it should have ... a few more words there.

Yes I done that but it still comes up as a link. I just want the image in my sig. Goddamn computer

Firstly check with the signature rules guidelines to see if the dimensions are not too large for placing as a signature.

If this is within boards regulations for signatures then you would do this:
    [img]http://www.nz.playstation.com/assets/playstation_2/software/gta_san_andreas/game_logo.gif[/img]

    test
    game_logo.gif

I think that picture is a little large for having as a signature though.
