im trying to open a particular port on my router but i cant find any info on in on the tinternet. its a pti 840g. the website only gives instructions on the 840 and thats totally different to my setup. any idea how i go about it? maybe not inside the router config cos i had a very thorough look thru there and found nothing

im trying to set up azureus and it keeps telling me there's a NAT error on port 6881

that was my first port of call. it doesn't have the options for my router. the ones it has for my brand are way different. i don't have the options it says to click. tbh i'm not totally sure it has a hardware firewall. where else might this option be?

i have zonealarm free version but i turned it off and got the same error so its not that

Try using the web interface by typing in the address bar http://192.168.1.1 and signing in.

Somewhere in the security settings (if you have a hardware firewall in the router) you will come across the NAT settings.

In here you gotta open up from port 6881 to port 6881.

The only thing you MIGHT have to change in Zonealarm would be the internet/trusted zone on your network. But its defo a router prob
