Irregular periods....urgent!!!

Ok heres my story. I took the morning after pill on Friday 6th and 5 days later I got what looked like my period, which was exactly one week early (10th instead of 17th). Now at first I thought it could have been some bleeding from the MAP but it lasted 5days so I just presumed it was my period early.

Heres where it gets complicated: I was very stupid on Sunday 15th and I had to take another MAP on the 16th (I know how stupid I was…). I didn’t get this one from my doctor though because she warned me I couldn’t take another one so soon so I got it from the well woman centre.
The thing is today I’ve got what seems like a period. 5 days after taking the 2nd MAP, and so soon after that first period. But looking at the calendar, its 4 days after I expected my original period to occur!!!

My problem is that I’m supposed to be going on the pill, and after all that’s happened lately it definitely should be sooner rather than later. I dont want to wait another month. Im supposed start it (microlite) on the first day of my cycle, ie when I get my period….but I have know idea i this is it! If I wait for a few days to see if the bleeding stops (i.e. it was just from the 2nd MAP) then Ive missed the pill taking window. So I was just wondering, from other girls experience out there, do you think I could just take the pill today, even though it may not be the first day of my cycle?? I mean will it do me any harm??

I know this is not a medical forum, but I’m just looking for peoples experiences with the pill. I cant go to the doctors till after the weekend, and even then I don’t really want to go and tell her I got myself another MAP!!!

Any advice would help so much, Im so stressed out!!

    GO. TO. YOUR. DOCTOR.

And - is it really going to kill you to cop onto yourself for long enough to use other protection for a month while you wait for your cycle to settle down?

Yea, you have to go to your doctor. Ive heard all these things about how often you can take the MAP and if its within one cycle it wont work twice.

One of the side effects are irregular periods but for all you know you could be pregnant. Befor you start the pill check with a new doctor if you too embarresed to admit what you did and tell them everything SO THEY CAN HELP YOU.

Maybe if these 'accidents' are an occurance you should think about using another form of contraception, ie injection, patch, ring, implant. They'll tell you all about them at a well women center.

So the doctor warns you not to take another map so soon after the first. You go out and don't use protection (this isn't just stupid it's monumentally stupid) and then go and take another map (against your doctors orders).

You see when people like doctors give advice especially about that sort of stuff your supposed to heed them and now your on here looking for advice again which of course you would follow cos your good at taking advice.

Okay nastiness over, go see your doctor on Monday who will give you professional advice as to what you should do and perhaps you should listen this time.
