    What about this one?

    That's not a logo.

I think someone's just finished a text reflection tutorial for photoshop and robbed a pic of a dodgy looking chair from somewhere tbh.

That would look dreadful if you tried to scale it.
Have you never heard of vectors?
I hear they're used quite often in logo design.

Logo's are generally used in an number of different places.
A website, headed note paper, business cards or even on the side of a van.
How do you think your logo would look blown up on the side of a van or shrunken down to fit on a business card?

Oh, i see i've hit on a raw nerve here.

I didn't mean to belittle your effort.

It's just the guy asked for a logo and what you've given him couldn't possibly be used as a logo, not in it's current form.

If you can't take criticism you shouldn't be designing, it's part and parcel of design.

You obviously don't work in design because with an attitude like that, you wouldn't last long.
You'd tell a paying customer that didn't like your work to F off?
    I don't think so.

And yes u smart **** I have heard of vectors, but in a photoshoppage forum I didn't think it would be necessary to use illustrator and create a vector graphic for something that wil be used on a project and probably not need to be resized.

You do a good design. If you do, fair play you've put me in my place, if not

No I don't work in design, and yes I will take an opinion from you as long as you can back it up with some suggestions, which as of yet I havn't heard or seen from you.

You can't just write a criticism and not back it up.

Is it really necessary to be so rude?
I've just pointed out some flaws in your design.
And you've flown off the handle.

I thought we were trying to help Solitary with a logo for his mum?

In fairness Fergal, you could hardly call this constructive criticism.. What you are saying is very possibly true but I could see myself being offended by the wording and tone in general used.

Ok, well fair play for your effort.
Perhaps you should read up on logo design, it will help you in the future.

Here's some good advice for logo creation by non-designers .
    You might find it useful.

O.k but still you havn't made any effort to create a logo which is what this forum is about. So why are you even posting here?

Don't post again or make a logo as requested.

I never said he should vectorize the complicated bitmap.
He should never have used the bitmap in the first place.
Let's not kid ourselves here, bitmaps are not used in logo design except maybe for inspiration.

Why is everyone jumping down my throat on this.
I've already said i may have chosen my words poorly.
    But it was fair criticism.
The fact that Fusion can't take it, isn't down to me.

Giblet isn't even a moderator of this forum.
And while i respect his opinion on the matter your sycophantic attempt at humour is really quite unnecessary.

My point is. This forum is for a reason. It's not a "what do you think of this?" forum, it's a "can you help me out with a design?" forum.

Therefore criticism is not needed unless constructive, which yours wasn't.

What is needed in the forum is what was asked for. A design.

    Can you contribute?

If not, don't waste your time typing. Because I don't want to read it. Simple.

I'm sorry but what does my post count have anything to do with the issue at hand?

I've been reading this forum for quite some time, as well as the rest of the site.
Thankfully from my time on this site, i've learned that you don't represent the majority of posters.
If you did, there wouldn't be much of a community here.

Jesus christ, grow up the pair of you.

and BusinessTime, you brought this upon yourself by being pointlessly antagonistic.
Continuation of this argument in the original thread will be rewarded with bannings.
