25+ rebuy or top up tourney.
    new tourney in this town.
thought i would be up against mainly calling stations and played accordingly.
    10 or 12-- 18 to 21yr olds were playing.
as time went on it seemed to be like playing 4 gus hansens on the table.
(example. raise pre flop with AQ call call .
    flop QK4 ) bet the Q for info. call /fold.turn 9.
bet again / raise all in .possible straight .K winning or worse a set.
    fold. shows hand. A7. smiles :) .
just an example of 1 hand but this was going on all night.i read here of hands quistioned up and down but if you are up against theses type of players logic goes out the window.btw they will play a the nuts the same way.
i came 5th but had to get lucky.final comment : how to play against 5 gus hansens on your table and win

generally u should wait till u have the nuts (or decent hand) and reel them in

when you don't have the hand you can do one of two things..

1)make it expensive - don't let them mess around for cheap. you gotta be careful doing this though. Only do this against players that have the ability to think: 'what's he holding'. A lot of players don't profile other players or think through the history of a hand - they just value themselves and their own 2 cards.

2)If the player has no idea what they are up to don't even bother bluffing. They will pay you off eventually.

A bad run of cards should be the only thing that will keep you from winning a tourny like that...

What ocallagh said above and if possible get to see flop for cheap with small pairs and suited connectors. If you flop a set or a nice draw or even a straight you'll usually get paid off by top pair who won't be able to let it go. Seeing cheap flops is another matter entirely.
