i'm trying to fix my m8s computer. he managed to delete all the shell extensions using regcleaner. any time you clicked on anything the search window opened up because that was the only option that was left if you right clicked. i had to set all exe files to open with regcleaner so i cud open the program and get the backups. but since i did, whenever i click on a folder it opens in a new window. in the folder options its set to open in the same window tho can't figure it out tbh. i think it cud have something to do with the fact that i had to fiddle with the folder options to get them to open while i was fixing it. but i set them to default again so im stumped. any ideas?

i think the problem is that i put an "open" option in the file folder file type and i can't remove it. how do i?

never mind. as many ppl say here, google is my friend
