I have a wireless network setup, with broadband shared (IOL). On my Laptop, everything is ok. Full speed on the net etc. On my pc im not so lucky. Im getting 56K speed for some reason and i don't know why. I have a netgear router and i was looking through the settings and for some reason, the ip for my pc has mysteriously been changed to 192.168.0.4 instead of its previous 192.168.0.2. I don't know why but i think this may have something to do with it? I have checked for adware etc so im not sure whats going on? How can i change the ip back or what problem im i looking at?

set the router to manull ip addressing and leave the gateway to auto

then go to the properties of your network connection and choose the manual IP option , you will need to set the gateway address of the router to and may need you ISP DNS settings
