Chorus Digital in Cork

Anyone else having problems with their Chorus Digital in Cork?
The EPG, TV guide, setup screens and radio are all working but all the TV channels are blank. I can scroll through all the channels and see what is on via the EPG but there is just a blank screen on every channel.
I tried plugging out the box overnight but to no avail.
    Any info?

Also while the digital is down I decided to connect the input to the box directly into the TV just to see what channels are available as I want to connect a second TV using this method.
I found that I could only pick up TV3 and Sky One, does anyone know why I can only pick up these? Do I need a booster etc?

Plug the box out of the mains and plug it back in. :D

Tried that, left it plugged out at the mains all of last night.
I still got the same problem when I tried it this morning.

    1. Plug the set top box out.
    2. After a few seconds, plug it back in.
    3. Hold the "Chorus" button (middle of your remote) down and keep it held down as the chorus logo appears and "init" is displayed.
    4. Keep this held and let the box go through the boot process, until the programme banner appears.

Afterwards, you may want to power cycle the box again, as you may get a message about a signal reception problem.

Chorus sometimes use the interleaving frequencies (those of an adjacent MMDS cell) to broadcast digital, which leaves the analogue channels unaffected. The two you're receiving are more than likely two analogue channels which are being broadcast unencrypted (unscrambled). :D

:p It might be the fact that Chorus did an ECM (electronic counter measure) on Thursday to stop people with pirate set top boxes.... Just been informed that a new hack is now available for the boxes again... would not recomend it as an ECM is as easy to do as switching on a light switch :p

    Zak,

You seem to be very well informed. Do you work for Chorus by any chance?

Okay, I have to warn again that discussing hacking cable systems is banned on this forum. That will be all...
