I must say, it doesn't look a *whole* lot different to the OpFlash engine, as far as models, detail and textures go, though they're probably just more detailed.

The lighting seems to be improved too.
I wonder if they've fiddled with the physics and AI side of things too?

If it just turned out to be the original game with better textures, better animation, better collision detection, better viewdistance and proper physics, I'd still be as happy as punch. Though I'm guessing they'll do a bit more than that. Most of the gear looks early to mid 90s Russian.
