cork will win but waterford will win the all-ireland :)

i'd be happy enough with that, disapointed at losing our munster title but without an all-ireland this team will never be complete. but what are you basing that point on?

Too close to call. I'm for Waterford to win this and the McCarthy cup though. As I'm sure every other neutral in the country is.

    1.Brenner

    2.Murray 3.Hartley 4.Coffey

    5. Browne 6.Phelan 7.Murphy

    8.Walsh 9.K McGrath

    10.Kelly 11.S Prendergast 12.Flynn

    13.Mullane 14.Shanahan 15.O'Brien

Personally i'd like to see this team start,i'd like to see jack kennedy get on at some stage, player with a great future, also if the going gets too rough for o'brien they can still throw eoin mcgrath in. but all of that said, the team that will walk out sunday will prob be very different from what anyone is imagining. :)

I hope Waterford win on Sunday, and it would be nice to see them win the All-Ireland. I could say the same for Limerick on Saturday too.

I think that Cork will win this one, with the winners to lose out to Limerick or Clare in the Munster Final! Waterford should do very well again this year but the All-Ireland may be a bridge to far!

I doubt the team announced will be anything like the team that will play sunday. if ken isn’t fit phelan will prob be put in centre back and if he is fit good chance phelan will go in half back and murphy will replace tom feeny. i’d be disgusted if bull doesn’t start, he’s one of our most consistently good players in last two years.

Waterford have not been far off the mark in the past few years. They've won 2 out of the last 3 Munster Championships. They ran Kilkenny very close last year and it was a game they should have won. They gave away a couple of soft goals to them. They had the Kilkenny goal under siege for a period in the second half, but could not get that vital score. Had John Mullane not been suspended they could have won it.

Too true flukey but we'll never know now, pity mullane reacted to that idiot murphy, it was a disgrace what he did throughout the match, he was dragging off mullane all day long and the way he went down after mullane hit him was pathetic, rivaldo type of stuff! but at the end of the day if you retaliate you know what can happen and mullane and waterford paid the heaviest of prices for that. Heard a rumour that mullane was in a certain pub in waterford last week with a picture of a certain player on a dartboard and he was hammering sliotars off of it,lmao! Can't wait to see how he exacts his revenge on sunday, i hope he does it with his hurling alone though, punish murphy for his unsportsmanlike behaviour last year! UNLEASH THE MULLANIMAL!!!! :D

Anyone got any opinions on the waterford team now that it's been announced.(granted it could be completely changed on sunday)

Very good game today. Got home a while ago and am shaking off the disappointment. We didnt take our scores when they were there in the second half and in fairness Cork just about were the best team.

Looking forward to the rest of the season with some confidence though. Get Ken McGrath and Paul Flynn fully match fit. If Eoin Kelly can continue the amazing form of today. Also John Mullane will not have another game as bad as today for the rest of the year.

    Gotta love Munster hurling!

    solid game alright.
Cork were on top in the opening while but Waterford took over and looked well like winning but Cork's second goal set them up for the win.

Hard to see anybody in Munster beating Cork imo. I know Clare have yet to play but still :)

2 great games from Munster this weekend anyway.

Two exciting games from Munster alright! The standard in the Cork vs Waterford match was very high in contrast to the game on Saturday night ( I know the conditions were not great but I do not think that was the main reason)! Both Cork and Waterford should have long summers, depending on the draw the other two may make the quarter finals (unless Tipp beat Clare in which case they are garunteed a quarter final spot)!

I don't either game was as good as they could have been. The Cork Waterford game was the best of the two, but unfortunately John Mullane didn't play to his usual standard and the game suffered as a result

Planck 2... john Mullane didn't play to his usual standard because he wasn't left...

    UP THE REBELS!!!!! :D

Great game. First half was particularly good. Would be nice to see Waterford come back and win the All-Ireland this year, like Cork did last year. I imaginbe their supporters would be happy enough just to see them beat Kilkenny though!

I don't think it had a lot to do with that, he just had an off day, most players do have them from time to time

I won't, but you'll have to admit he was fierce quiet in the fist half, ten minutes in I was beginning to wonder if he reretired. There was neither sight nor sound of him for a while, but that was great contribution he gave in the second half.

Well we're out of munster but not finished by any means yet. It wasn't a bad result considering so many players were below par, only a handful played well;eoin murphy, tony browne, ken mcgrath(for periods of the game),eoin kelly(outstanding) seamus prendergast.as i feared tom feeney had a poor game, very slow and fell twice in front of joe deane, once for a point and can't remember if the other time resulted in a score, anyways hasn't improved from last year and his best days look to be well and truly gone which is a huge pity! Well done to cork, played it very clever but to be honest both teams weren't on form and cork were just slightly better. was disgusted, in the first half especially, at how much ball came straight back out of the waterford forward line. just couldn't seem to hold it up there and was putting a lot of pressure on our defence. but during the close of the second half waterford were outstanding and IF ONLY half time hadn't come around they could have notched up a good lead. at the end of the day if's and buts mean nothing, cork roll on and the lads have to set their minds on the new objective, the big one that keeps aluding us. plenty of games to sharpen up now and no excuses of too long out of action.they have had every kind of chance and this could be one of the last imo(too many big players getting on and leaving soon) we don't want to have the same regrets limerick have.the lads deserve one after so much heartbreak and disapointment, but only if they fully earn it this time!! ;)
