Isle of Man

A couple of my mates are discussing going over to the Isle of Man for a weekend on the beer this summer and are trying to get me to go along too. Is it any good? I know the weather is probably the same as here (Ireland). What is the pub/nightlife scene like? Is it expensive? Cheers.
