Just read it on teletext and now on rugby.ie he is heading to Saracens.
Damn shame he was a great coach, who are they going to get to replace him. Also anyone hear that Irelannd are looking for a forward specialist coach as well?

are they defo going to get a replacement defence coach...wouldn't be suprised if EOS took it on himself

as was said here already its doubtful he was entised away with money, so it must be his working relationship with EOS, it will be hard then to get some through coaching talent to work with the international team after this becomes common knowledge, hopes of even the triple crown next year look very far away now

this is sh1te. Ford was also reported to be frustrated not being allowed greater scope with the backs - and minus a backs coach you'd think there'd be some scope for it.

Is EOS going down the jack charlton route, gifted the best group of players the country has had they're actually being held back from true greatness to secure moderate aims?

Are we watching the collapse of Irish rugby? It's been crumbling for 2 seasons now.

There was something about this in an earlier thread - it looks like EOS is not happy with sharing power at all. I think the manager of the team is also stepping down, and EOS is going to replace him with a P.A. type person with less control, so again EOS gets more control.
    Doesn't bode well at all.

Maybe... just maybe EOS will get something sorted and Ireland will do well next season...

    Please :d

it's all going a bit pear shaped alright, and has been for a while i think.

Apparently (i.e. from no lagitimate source what so ever) EOS is an egotistical control freak who's impossible to work with, and is more interested in his reputation than anything else.

I just hope some how things pick up soon...too much bad news in Irish rugby for the last couple of years, and we've lost to many people to other countries. I hope the bubble dosen't completely burst, and we can get back to winning ways somehow. (if we ever REALLY did have winning ways.)

I couldn't bare a decade or so of wooden spoon deciders with Italy and Scotland :(

    Are we heading that way?

there were all sorts of issues with some of the "star" players turning up hungover and unfit to train....****

I really respected spooner.... he didn't leave on the best of terms having being absolutely shafted by williams....think he was one of our best players ever (when fit)

According to the BBC, Cullen is off to Leicester. At this point we're becoming a bloody feeder club for them :/
