Determining Motherboard Make

    Have a p3 at present running 320 MB PC 100 SDRAM

    I want to increase the RAM have been told that upgrading the BIOS may enable me to do so

    But I need to find out what make my motherboard is, would be grateful for any help

    do a google for a program called belarc advisor. it'll tell you (nearly) everything about your pc

    Thanks I just did that , I would out my motherboard is a Intel WS440BX, is upgrading the BIOS, simply downloading some software and is there any pitfalls in doing this

    Enter your BIOS on boot and write down the BIOS ID
    Would look something like this on boot:

    biosid.gif

    Search google with it and see what come up.

    Another option is to open the case and look along the edge of the main motherboard for it model.
    Or, for example, on this asus board:

    Where did you get the macine?
    Do you have any manuals?
