    I just bought a chip set and chip colours are blue-green-red-white.
    Ive never been to a casino and i dont know if there are standard chip values by coulour i.e white represents $100. Or does everybody make their own different values per colour?.
    Id like advice on what chip value i should put on each colour please?.

    The standard as far as cash chips is concerned seems to be:
    1 = white
    5 = red
    25 = green
    100 = black
    500 = either blue or yellow I think

    Both The Fitz and The Merrion use the colour/value system (for 1 to 100 anyway) outlined above, and the couple of casinos I have been in the US have been the same.

    The standard Casino Chip value / colours are as follows

    White, $1
    Red, $5
    Blue, $10
    Grey, $20
    Green, $25
    Orange, $50
    Black, $100
    Pink, $250
    Purple, $500
    Yellow, $1000
    Light Blue, $2000
    Brown, $5000

    There are some variations to these denominations (e.g. I've seen Green played as $20 occasionally), but I believe this list fairly reflects the generally accepted value for each chip color.

    In Special Days we go up to $1000 in the vegas chips but plan to do $2000 & $5000 for Christmas to promote "high rollers" poker sets.

    for tournament poker chips the Fitz (and the Merrion too i think) have the following colours (dealers could confirm)

    25 - Orange (White in the Merrion)
    100 - Yellow
    500 - Pink
    1000 - Green
    5000 - Blue

    10000 - rainbow colured choclate chips, dipped in LCD - i never won a tourney cos i keep stuffing my face....

    At the end of the day, it shouldn't really matter, should it? Generally, you make the colour you have to most of the smallest denomination, and the least the most.

    5000 - Blue

    New chips were bought for the festival
    5000 = Grey/Silver depending on how colour blind you are
