Currently have a Minolta Dimage F200.
It can take great photos but generally only with a lot of fiddling, &particularly to get a natural looking indoor nighttime shot.
    And, its bulky-ish.

So, Im going to change and my main requirements are:
-Pretty much Point&Click operation in an auto-mode
-Small - to fit in a jeans pocket without being annoying so its gotta be mobile phone style diameters
-Reasonably good quality and features that If I decide to get adventurous and learn some photography techniques Ill be able to change settings.

    Two friends have Olympus cameras - a 2mp & a 3mp one, 1 with no optical,1 with 3X.
Both are Point&Click users and ive had use of both cameras. While ive never seen either take an amazing shot, ive never seen them take a bad shot either. Better in dark than my Minolta without changing settings - playing about with settings & waiting for a long exposure will get a better shot on the minolta but things tend to move/moment is lost etc.

Ive narrowed my choice to the following camera's:

    Nikon Coolpix S1 ~€340 shipped - http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Nikon/nikon_cps1.asp
    Dimensions: 90 x 58 x 20 mm
The smallest of the lot. It takes SD & therefore probably also MMC-which I already have for my Minolta.

    Olympus FE-5500 ~€255 shipped - http://www.dpreview.com/news/0502/05021709oly_d630.asp
    Dimensions: 94 x 61 x 24 mm
Is an olympus, is cheaper but takes XD so id have to replace cards which evens out the price given the cost of XD cards.

Kodak EasyShare V550/V530 Expected price is ~$400, launching next month- http://www.dpreview.com/news/0505/05051702kodak_v550v530.asp
    Dimensions: 94 × 56 × 22 mm
Also takes MMC but expected price is similar to the S1 so it should be similar on price.

The Nikon is the smallest, & looks pretty slick imho folllowed by the Kodak on looks&size, but thats not what im asking here, thats down to my own opinion - obviously the Kodak is not out yet so nobody will have experience of it, but what would your opinions be on the capabilities / quality of these camera's?
All the better if anyone has the others?

Also considering one of the mju mini Digitals:

Olympus Stylus Verve Digital/Olympus mju mini Digital
    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Olympus/oly_stylusverve.asp
    Dimensions: 95 x 56 x 28 mm
There is also the "Digital S" which is almost identical just 5mp instead but 4mp is plenty for my needs, and id have to factor in the cost of buying xD cards.

One annoying feature with the Olympus's though is that if you change from the default resolution and then power off it resets this back to the default the next time you turn it on. It happens on my friends camera's and according to the review above it also happens on the mju.
