    ...but nothing ventured, nothing gained

I'm desperately trying to find someone in Ireland with a tv card in their computer to record 5 minutes of RTE for me. I'm in England so can't do it myself. As well as my eternal gratitute I'd be happy to capture any UK tv in return or any other favour I can manage.

    Anyway, here goes:
My sister is being interviewed on RTE (2 i think) just before The Simpsons tonight (yes very short notice, but she didn't get much warning herself) about an award she just won for a piece she did at NCAD college.

    Can anyone capture this?

    please?

    thanks for reading!

Pity I saw your post too late I've got SkY+ and a capture card - was she on the news? If so I might be able to do it later if they repeat it.

Yeah, I would have had more luck if I'd posted a day or two earlier, instead of a hour before the show when everyone is on their way home from work!

It was a four minute slot just before the Simpsons. She won the National Museum of Ireland silverware design awards a few weeks back. It was live with presenters, a bit like T4 on channel 4 over here so I'm told, so I doubt if there will be a repeat. But I'm sure we'll have plenty of video tapes among all the relatives over in Ireland. I'm just so used to my capture card it would have been great to get an mpg and just send everyone the a vcd/dvd, instead I'll have to learn how to transfer from video to PC.

    Thanks for replying!

(Apologies to the regulars that my first post here was asking for something!)

you could try contacting RTÉ i'm sure they'd help you if you explained that you would like a taping of it.
