I've been suffering with this for years and i mean SUFFERING.

if you don't have it, don't bother commenting on how "it could be worse". i've heard it all before.

i get it particularly severe. my eyes close up to the point of not being able to see and the vicious circle of not being able to scratch my eyes as it leads to itchier, tortuous bouts of it is soul-destroying.

i did get relief from a steroid injection called Depo-medrone for a few summers but not i've built up a resistance to that or for whatever reason it just doesn't work for me anymore.

has ANYONE experienced any miraculous treatment (i say treatment as there is no cure).

any suggestions for relief would be most welcome.

    thanks alot

    k.

There are many different options from injections, eye drops, nasal sprays to tablets.

Go to your GP. There is effective treatment - you just need to keep looking for it. When your GP has tried everything, he may refer you to a specialist.

    Don't give up!

yeah, go to the doc. my doc prescribed a steriod spray and tablets which seem to be working.
its an expensive ailment to have though!

I used to get it as bad as you kraggy, but over the years it has subsided to the point that I only get slightly congested on bad days. If you are young it may subside as you get older. I can do my gardening and cut the grass etc. without any problems anymore.

my gp has pretty much given up.

i guess i'll just have to look for something on the internet as i've tried everything that's available in ireland for a sustained period of time to no avail.

    thanks for the replies folks.

    :)

Don't order any prescription drugs off the internet. You don't know the quality, or the suitability.

I would be surprised if your GP has truly given up on you.....
