Cheap ink cartridges

Is there any reputable company in Ireland that sells refilled ink cartridges for at a lower price than buying them new? I am trying to find a cheaper solution than buying them new in the likes of PC World. Is there any websites that fellow boards users have used to get cartridges at a lower price and would recommend?

I need to do a lot of printing of A4 posters in Black & White for a local GAA club, so the quality doesn't have to be perfect just good enough to display some info in a large font.

Any info/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Used them a few times now, and very reliable no problems plus prompt reply to queries

I've used inkjet.ie as well - good cartridges and quick delivery. Haven't had occasion to test their support yet which is a good thing in itself. They offer a money back guarantee as well.

I buy the LASERPLUS brand. Have never had problems with either ink or toner.

Just a FYI, you void your warranty if/when you dont use genuine catridges. To some people, thats important because printers arent exactly known to be reliable most of the time!

Yes but with the price of some printers barely more than the cost of the recommended manufacturer cartidges, it might be worthwhile to buy a new printer if your old one gives problems.

I buy my carts from www.choicestationary.com - excellent and fast.

Well if you buy a cheap printer, the cartiridges are more expensive. They lose money selling the printer at say 44.99 but they make it back by charging €50 everytime you want cartridges. Buy a decent printer, however and you wont have this problem.

For example, Canon IP1500's black cartridge (17ml) is only €10, colour is €20. In PC World.

On the other side of the scale, check out the Epson R200. Its about €120 from www.blankdiscshop.co.uk.

They also sell two kinds of refills. The Jettec ones are more expensive, at €4.55 per cartridge. I've used this brand before for about 2.5 years til my old Epson Stylus Colour 720 died. So i can recommend these to anybody!

The IM JET ones i'm currently using, and so far i've run through a few black cartridges (no colour ones as of yet, tis only a new printer) so i can't make any guarantees about their quality. But at €2.35 for black, and €2.55 for the colour, they're a steal. At this rate, by the time i run through 20 cartriges, i'll have saved the price of the printer as compared to buying epson branded cartridges.

As for voiding the warrenty... well, whats to stop you taking out your refills and putting in epson branded ones before you ship the printer back. They're hardly going to know :p But that would be ever so slightly dishonest :D

No longer an issue. HP were brought to court in europe regarding this, and it is no longer a valid reason to void a warranty. Something to do with monopolys etc. etc.
So spurious all the way :):)

i got 9 cartridges for 10 euro off www.blankdiscshop.co.uk but two of the black ones have leaked and spilled all over the printer. you get what you pay for i suppose

I've been using refills for well over 3 years now, and i've never had a problem with em. What brand refills did you get? The Jettec ones are great, and the ones in the yellow package (can't remember brand, but can look em up if needed) that i've been using for the last few months are pretty good. I've gone through about 7-8 cartridges of the yellow ones, and well over 50 Jettec's.
