Ummmm its all a bit vauge

First off RTE are already broadcasting digital TV albeit via an unholy alliance with one of its competitors

The article mentions digital terrestirial TV in passing but it mainly focusses on interactive TV

Interactive TV can be done via satellite, cable or (with the aid of a phoneline or RF return path) terrestrial Hell it can be even be done on ANALOUGE platforms (Anyone remember their experiment with interactive teletext a few years ago)

In short Interactive and DTT are not necessairly the same thing

The article is vague and confusing. As Ulsterman points out RTÉ already broadcast digitally on the $$$ly platform. If they were to formally announce a launch on DTT transmission that would be great news, but the report leaves that none the wiser.
