Right, just wondering how people normally do this?

I know this is kinda a computers related topic but I just thought that travellers would have experience of doing this when not on their own computers.

I have a Digicam which takes MMC/SDs so im gona get an SD/MMC USB Card Reader that basicly turns the car into a pendrive so no installation is required.
    I have webspace.
Email myself WinSCP (single executable file, no installation needed),- this will allow me to transfer stuff from the computer im on to my webspace.

Heres where things might get a little annoying - I dont want to be spending ages in an internet cafe coding - more importantly, I only know basic HTML.

Ive just downloaded JAlbum which performs automatic creation of thumbnails and galleries, but dont have time to play with it yet, eitherway - it needs to be installed so thats a no-go for internet cafe's.

Are there any free/cheap online sites that perform similar functions to JAlbum - i.e. that I could simply upload my pics from a PC and create galleries and thumbnails all online??

Wanna have this arranged so I can simply pop into a net cafe for half hour, upload my pics, create the gallery, add a few comments and go.

if your travelling backward countries its a pain in the ass uploading on crappy connections.

i usually got them burned to cd to free up space on the camera

A few options off the top of my head:

Setup an account with Flickr.com, very nice interface and photo management tools.

Setup an account with Blogger.com. If you are travelling in the US using an American mobile service you can upload your photos to your blogger photo-blog directly from your mobile, this functionality is going to be added for European telecoms providers soon as well.

Install Gallery on your webspace. It has all the tools you need for thumbnail creation, resizing, album organisation etc..

Shouldnt be a huge problem, its only Europe im going through so nothing too remote. That said, ive experienced dreaded dial up on an Island off Croatia before, though that only means waiting 30mins instead of 5mins for pics to upload, which I can put up with :)
