Are these doors any good?

I'm thinking of getting the doors here for my current house.

Are they any good? Either the Colonial or the Elliottis?

I will be living in the house for around two more years and then either selling it on or Renting it out so I don't want to go installing really expensive stuff.

the existing doors that were installed in the mid 80's are made of two light sheets stuck on either side of a Cardboard Honeycomb and they are desperate.

    thanks

Without a data sheet ,its impossible to know if these are an engineered door, or a pressed veneered flush door.

At a guess I'd say they are an engineered door. This type of construction is , door material sections made from laminated 40 mm square sections, joined together to make the full size stiles, heads, rails. Then dowelled together, and veneered to give a pine appearence. A cheap alternative to solid timber doors, should serve the purpose you intend it for.

It would be worth your while pricing solid timber doors before you finally make your mind up. You might not notice much difference in price. I got a load of them on special offer a little while back for 45 euros each.

I see Ganleys in Athlone are offering mortice and tenon, 6 panel regency pine doors +hinges, handles, lock all for 59 euros.

    Hard to beat
