Since guild wars has been released, there has been alot of pissed of warcraft players who do not want to try GW before they bash it. The only game you can compare Guild Wars against is Warcraft but you can't compare it with.

Guild wars has it's good points and bad points. The good points are the primary and secondary classes of which the combinations are much more diverse than let's say, a race/class choice on warcraft. The classes are also very even and from what I've seen, there aren't really overpowered characters but there are some good combinations of classes and bad combinations depending on what you want your character for.

One thing that annoyed me about Guild wars is that although it's very eye pleasing, I don't like how you cannot interact with all of the landscape like you can in warcraft. If you come to the edge of a small ledge, there is an invisible border around it so you cannot pass. Infact, you cannot jump which is also an annoyance in this game. /jump granted, but I'm talking soaring over mountain peaks here.

This game has much more of a diablo feel to it. In all the major cities, everybody can communicate with each other on the server (district) but once you leave a city, you can only run with whoever is in your party. Infact, if you are soloing, you can spend alot of time in this game trying to accomplish things on your own. This game is very team orientated however, so you do spend alot of time working together with people.

Another thing I like about Guild Wars is that you really don't have to grind like you did on warcraft and you can travel from city to city by pointing and clicking on the map. This saves gryph costs like you'd have in warcraft and really, alot of ****ing time. Back to the grinding point, you really level as you go along on the quests. This game is very quest orientated and you really don't have tp spend countless hours in the unknown trying to kill x amount of x to level up. Infact, if truth be told.. Leveling up is not all that important in this game.

I haven't played this game all that much.. Only over the last 2 or 3 days but these are my first observations of it. Good game, pissed off about the ability to interact with some of the enviroment but it's not really that important. Don't expect a true mmorpg like Warcraft out of it but expect alot of serious fun and a real appealing looking game.

Its a real pick up and play for a while, when you have the time type game,
I work odd hours so dont have alot of time to put in to games, so get a few hours b4 work and an hour or so after.
