I really liked Limerick for the first 6-8 months (was very stressfull living in Dublin), but lately things have changed and I start to be bored here (I am not really what could be defined as "a quiet guy", so I am missing Dublin a now
I still wonder where the bad reputation of Limerick being a dangerous city is coming from though, I never felt as safe as here...

I'm from Nenagh, working in Shannon and living in Limerick (for Year No. 13.... yikes!)

Not particularly fond of the city, but that's where work currently needs me to be. It's a convenient hub for other major cities (Galway/Cork 1.5 hours, Waterford 2 hrs, Dublin 2.5 hours, Sligo ~3 hours) so a quick escape is somewhat easier than it would be from other Irish cities, such as Cork.

wouldnt call sligo a city but anyway
ya never really thought of it but limerick is in a good place to get to other big cities except belfast
