For satellite broadband, there are many operators, though first, try
    www.e3broadband.ie - they're in Dublin (Electroplus)

DiSEqC motors can be got from lots of places, www.satellite.ie to name of one based in Dublin, there are many others.

If you are looking for satellite internet you should go to www.avcbroadband.com they are in the uk but they supply the one way satellite packages to www.e3broadband.ie and are a lot cheaper I have there 786k package on a sky dish with quod lnb I get about 100Kb/s at at night after 11 and 40kb/s buring internet peak hours there is no CAP.

If you have any questions let me know

    Robert ,

Do I understand it correctly , you have a 786k connection but only get a speed of 40k download during the day ?? My awful Eircom connection on copper wires gets me 52k ! Have I missed something here ?

    yup I think you have.
He's talking kilobytes and you're talking kilobits
    1 kilobits = 0.125 kilobytes

Thus his 40 Kilobytes is the equivalent of 400 of your kilobits or a little over ten times faster than your dial up and a little below the average of what a 512 DSL line will do.
It would be well below the speed of a 1 megabit standard dsl line as it is now and obviously much slower still than a 2 megabit line.

Earthman is right. I did some speed tests and and the average download speed is 100 kilobytes
