so i'm hoping to go to oxegyn, and i'd love to bring the camera but it's a 300d so is pretty bulky and liable to be nicked....so you think is it worth the risk?

Dont risk it i say unless you have it on your person at all times, which will be a pain. If you have a smaller camera bring it

bring it if your going solely for photography, while if your going mainly for the music, go for a smaller one..

If your not camping, then maybe you could bring the cam.

bringing a DSLR to oxygen if you're going mainly for the music and not for the photo op is a like nails on a blackboard to me anyway... as Shrimp says, bring it and guard it with your life if you're going for the photo op. If it's for the music, bring a disposable. That way you won't get miffed when/if someone steps on it/you.

if you bring it and any security/steward sees you with it and you don't have a photo pass you'll have it taken off you or if you refuse you'll be thrown out

i was at oxegen with my camera last year as a properly accredited photographer and I still got lots of hassle from the dumb apes they had hired as security

With some venues it depends on the type of lens you have with you. If it's too "tele" then you might be screwed.
