I'm sure they'll ask about your customer service skills and how you would deal with the public. Ya know, how muct effort would you go to help a customer, what would you do if you got a rude customer or a customer wanted to complain. Also how you work within a team. Do you have an interest in fashion and all that.

Once you show an ability to work hard, be polite, have a bit of a brain I'm sure they'll hire you. Just never go into a interview thinking, ah sure it's only a shop. The person interviewing runs or is part of running the shop and won't like to know you think 'ah sure it's only a shop' ie your job is shiit.

Working in a shop ain't brain science but it does take a certain person. Well actually no, I'm working in a store at the moment and they hire a good few assholes!! I dunno how I passed the store approval!

im sure they will tell you about the company and about the position youre being interviewed for.
and then they will ask you why you want to work for them, and why you want to work in retail, and waht experience you have, and what can you bring to them.
probably a bit about yourself as well.

after that it may be more specialized stuff (no idea, never worked in retail or he rag trade :))

check out the stick withthe links in it.
there are some good interview preperation questions there that will get you to think about your preperation and your answers.

nothing worse than aasking someone a question and they hum and haw for 5 minutes.
i mean, how hard is it to remember your name?
    :)

Always find out as much as you can in advance about the business you are applying to.

If you claim that you have certain skills be able to produce examples of them.

Imagine that you own a business/shop etc and you are taking someone on what questions would you ask them? After all you are going to put them in a postion of trust etc etc pay them a considerable amount of money (over a period anyway:) So what would you be asking in that situation?

    good luck with it.
