how do you open a river rock acount, can i open one from my ulster bank? and is it worth it to save money in this account, as i dont have 10k for rabo ??

Presume you mean Northern Rock (the UK bank; as opposed to the popular variety of bottled water!)

The RaboBank minimum balance requirement is €1 - see http://www.rabodirect.ie/savings/default.asp for more details, and their rates are a little bit better than Northern Rock at present, though it will be interesting to see how NR respond.

actually, rainyday is right - think it is the other way around - Rabobank is a €1 minimum, and Northern Rock has reasonably high minimums.
