We got some email today of the SU pres saying

"Last tickets for the Trinity Ball released!

Due to phenomenal demand the last tickets for the Trinity Ball have now been released. Also watch out for the charity Trinity Ball bracelets available in the SU shops with proceeds going to the Dublin Aids alliance.

Today is your last chance to attend this year’s Ball."

think u would be able to pick one up though, its been a few years since it actually sold out.

I didn't actually know the wristbands were for a charity. Me and a few others just thought it was a money making thing by trinity ball organisers. ....

Yeah, there's an awful lot of people looking around for ticket(s), myself included. Might as well express my desire here for a ticket if anyone has one (obviously I'd be willing to pay), although I've next to given up hope as of now.

you might be able to get them on the black market, eg last year they well selling them outside Front gates but id say they might be a good bit more expensive then the cost price, but if you really want to go......

Yeah, the "street price" was about €120 last I heard (about 3-4 hours ago), which I'm certainly not willing to pay (or really able to afford, for that matter), and that'll probably increase by quite a lot when it comes to the gates opening.

Edit: Just giving a link to my tale of woe (i.e., angry rant) as a bit of a vent to my pissedoffedness.

In case anyone is wondering, we stuck a few posters up around college and got a call from a keen seller. We were supposed to meet him in town at 8 but ew got unexpectedly delayed and didnt arrive til around 9 and your man had just sold the ticket.

Then we met another guy in the queue, who my friend knew who also had just sold a spare ticket.

Moral of the story

Get in early and text/ring/ask everyone you know.

I ended up going with the complete opposite tactic, waited around until 11:45 when everyone with spare tickets was desperate to get rid of them. Got one for €80, whereas I'd heard of people paying €120 for them earlier in the day.
