    Whats the best method of transport to take to go from birmingham to Cardiff? Rough prices and time?

    Your best bet is probably to go by train. Takes just under 2 hours on a direct train, longer for if you have to change. As for prices, the trains in the UK tend to vary, much like the airlines - the earlier you book, the cheaper you can get a ticket so check out a site like www.thetrainline.com and see.

    You really need to book in advance to get cheap fares.
    cheapest return is £16, a standard open return is £44
    You can book on the net from the link Buffybot posted and collect tickets from machines at the station.

    Jeez there fairly expensive 56 pound Single the Coach seems the best choice? 38 pound return, Anyone know how far away from each they are from each other the train and bus station tried to look on a map but didnt have luck

    Does anyone know if their is an alternative to trainline?
    It won't let you buy tickets without entering your UK postcode, which I obviously don't have.

    I sent TrainLine an email and they are going to register my address for me, bypassing the need for me to do it, very quick response from them.
