I'm probably going to get kicked off boards for asking such a stupid question, bt I always see somthing about Atari Jaguar on boards and I have no idea what its about!!?? Can anyone enlighten me!!??

He is the famous silent cinema actor who starred in a number of films with Chaplin and Keating.

In 1993 the Atari Corporation named their new video game console "Atari Jaguar" after him in honour of him providing the inspiration for the naming of the company and to remember an often forgot Hollywood star.

A. The Atari Jaguar was the world's first 64-bit home console video game
system. Developed after three years of research, manufactured by IBM, the
Jaguar was released in Fall 1993, and offered high-speed action,
CD-quality sound, and polygon graphics processing beyond most other
machines available at the time.

Orignally released as the Jaguar, Atari had, at times, referred to the
machine as the "Jaguar64" for marketing purposes. For the sake of
simplicity in this document, the term "Jaguar" will be used.

Eh yes, but just what makes you think there wasn't 2,4,8,16 and 32 bit systems prior to 64 bit systems........

I had an Atari VCS- guess when that was from..... 1978

I't just a joke that sometimes replaces "don't care" on polls. This wasn't the original meaning put is now the de facto use. It is explained in more detail in biki. Some people have been using Cactus Col lately to signify "don't know."

Anyway, it was the first 64bit processor and basically flopped. It came out at the same time as the 3DO in between the 16 bit generation systems like the Megadrive and the 32 bit systems like the Saturn and PS1.

Its use in boards is piss take and can be best described as "I dont care and am gonna ruin this poll" option..
