I was ordering some stuff of a website in the states, last time i ordered i chose FedEx as the delievery form and it took around 3-4 days to get here. However last night i made the mistake of choseing the regular postal service by mistake. So now im guessing its gonna get from the US to Dublin in around 3 days, and from An Post Sorting Offices to my house in about 4 months!

Anyone on here ever order anything from the USA like a package? How long did it take?

One more thing, are you able to collect stuff from the sorting office place if you bring like proof of address and stuff, or do i gotta wait for my geriatric postie?

    Cheers! :D

Look on the bright side... at least you won't get a demand from FedEx 3 months later looking for payment on the import duty.

Shortest time you can hope for is 5 days but could be anything up to 2 weeks.

If it's too big to fit in the letter box, you'll get a slip in the door telling you there is a package to collect at the sorting office. Bring your photo ID and collect, usually easy enough process.

    Hey,

I reguallarly get stuff from the states like cd's, books, clothes, etc and I always use the standard shipping. The longest anything ever took to arrive was 6 days!!
