As a relative newcomer to the great game (a year)I think its now time to get a decent set of clubs as against the Spalding box set of hand stingers I currently play with. I am playing off 22 started at 21 but I doubt very much if I'd go out any more than 22 and most probably would go the other way if I'd bother to enter a few more competitions. I'm 6"2 and I'm sure that the standard box set is far too short for me and have seen several "authorised Ping customised fitted clubs" in a few pro shops, are these any good or would I be better off going to a specialised club fitter BTW I'd be prepared to pay around 700 or so for a set of clubs.

Go to mcguirks. Would recommend the Taylor Made 3-SW RAC HT for €548 since you have the cash and spend the rest on lessons.

OK here we go again. As I've said in alot of other threads here you can buy a top quality set of clubs or ebay for what youd pay for **** clubs ehre. I have purchased Taylor amde RAC o/s for 225 euro. Brand new. So when you find the club you want get them off Ebay.

Secondly I personally am 6ft2 and I use shafts 1 inch longer then normal. That does me ok but standard shatfs and you should still b fine.

if you are off 22 and having hand stingers then your best bet is to get a lesson (as long as you are not playing with blades!)
I guarantee your PRO could play with your clubs and do just fine, its you, not the clubs (sorry)
at 6"'2 standard clubs will still be fine for you, again I bet your pro can probably grip them on the shaft and still hit it.
    Damn them Pros! :D
