Video / Codec Issues

Howdy, For some reason when I play a video on my laptop it just crashes! It works fine on everyone elses machine. I've tried Media player, Winamp, DivX and BSPlayer Still no good. Anyone got any tips on how I can go about fixing this? Media player says I'm missing a codec where as everything else just crashes.

BSplayer usually comes up with an error code. Or one of them should, anyhoo's. Post it up here, so the geeks can find the rights codec for you.

just go to doom9.org and download the gordian knot codec pack, should have everything you need

ace mega codec pack seems to have alot more codecs included than KL .. if its not there then it probably doesnt exist .. bs player and media player classic included .
