Men's lipstick

Might sound a bit strange this one, so bear with me. Does anyone remember an advertising campaign from about six or seven years ago on the side of Dublin buses where they appeared to be advertising what seemed to be lipstick for men?

I was watching Friends the other night and Joey did a Japanese advert for something similar which brought it all back. Only one of my mates vaguely remembers the advertising campaign while Google has, not surprisingly, drawn a blank. Thinking about it now, it may have been a piss-taking ad campaign which wasn't actually for men's lipstick, but can anyone else remember anything about it?

    Seem to vaguely remember it.
It flopped big time over here.
Sure, there are shiploads of different lipsticks and balms for men- they are mostly used by makeup artists and assistants- for the most part in the media.

Some of the more obscure products resurface from time to time- Elf lip balm was briefly popular with the advent of the Lord of the Rings for example.

God help anyone who wastes their time trying to sell the likes of these products to Irish males though- most of us see it as "unmanly" to even put sunfactor on our lips when on holidays- lipstick? Not a chance......

Yeah I remember that! I was asking friends of mine if they remebered it but none of them did I was starting to think I made it up. I can't remember if it was a piss take-type ad or not.

It's out there all right but you got to look for it.
Jean Paul Gautier does two in his Le Male range, but I've only ever seen one place selling it.

Never heard of anyone using it though.

LOADSA make-up lines do mens lipsticks, JP G as mentioned before, indeed, can be got at the airport, Clinique do it too. Juicy tubes are pretty common on men too. It's all out there and not too difficult to find.
