tele pickups

http://www.thomann.de/thoiw6_godin_solidac_tb_egitarre_prodinfo.html . i was looking at this guitar and its really nice except the single coil does not send very single coily. if i fitted one of these http://www.thomann.de/thoiw6_fender_texas_special_tele_bridge_prodinfo.html http://www.thomann.de/thoiw6_artikel-177958.html would i get that telecaster sound, or is the guitar unable to produce a sound like that? and which would be better for the middle position a bridge or a neck pickup?

i want a sound close to a tele. the pickup does not sound like a tele at all.

You could put a tele pickup into it, but it may not sound like a tele and it may require some routing of the body too. I mean, a strat doesn't sound like a tele or a mustang, even though they all have single coils. If you want that tele sound, get a tele, it's the only way you'll be guaranteed to get that twang. I reckon there'd be plenty of excellent tones to be had out of the Godin too though... nice guitar.
