I used to wear nothing but shirts but in the last year have become sickened by the sight of them. i now just where t-shirts, sweat tops, polos etc. which is fine except for going to night clubs where shirts seem to be the standard (often required) dress for guys.

i was looking around the shops today and all the shirts i saw were horrible. bad colors, bad stripes, bad cuts and i hate short sleeves. Ugh! i'm sick of all this ben sherman style crap.

does anyone know anywhere in dublin that i could pick up some nice long sleeve shirts? or alternatives for wearing out?

i'm looking for an alternative to the generic white clubbing shirt that all guys in ireland and the UK seem to be limited to.

Actually. River Island is the crux of all this nasty shirt evil thats going on at the moment..

I had a walk around the store on grafton st at the weekend and to be honest the range of clothes in there is bordering on offensive....

It is pure muck. If I wanted to wear pink and yellow, I would have been born female or perhaps be gay.. but im not.. I need a nice shirt. Not too jazzy, pretty simple. A smart shirt.

If you were to buy all your clothes in River Island you'd end up looking like something from a boyband...

Clothes for men at the moment with regards to choice is extremely poor.

damn! I went into D2 the other week, and I thought it turned into a chick shop, oink shirts and those 'fancy' belts all over the shop! but aparently that is the 'thing' for guys now, I mean wtf! PINK! what happened to the good ol' fashoned cheque(sp?) shirts and white striped ones?

Either in any Jack and Jones, or in Roches stores (upstairs, to the right hand side of the store when you get off the escelator infront of Pull&Bear) there is a label called Selected...
They do really, really nice shirts... and if you check the tags, they do what are called "Tight Fitted" or "Slim Fitted" (can't remember which) range... and they are really nice fitting shirts... they are cut to fit nice... i've got a few of there shirts and always get compliments on the fit of the shirt when i go out...

Go and have a look and try them on... I've gotten plain black ones, white ones, even the shirts from the normal ranges are really nice....

Oh and the Jack and Jones own brand shirts are pretty nice as well...

PM me and let me know what you think of them....
and i totally agree with you about River Island being the center of that "ben sherman" stripy crap loook thing that's goign on at the moment!
