Charter: IRL/US/UK Threads | Use Of Spoilers | Rules **Important**

OK, the massive thread on the television board is nearly all covered in spoiler tags...

This is kind of annoying for people who have seen the show but it's necessary since the thread began as just a discussion of the show but has evolved into a discussion of each episode and all so newbs to the show can't be going reading the new stuff...

In this forum I was hoping we could discuss the episodes on a one by one basis as they come out (ok... I know there's only 3 or 4 episodes left depending on how you view the last episode) so spoiler tags aren't really necessary in posts like that.

However, since Lost is such a complex show it'd be best if you put the word Spoiler in the subject of the post to show people you will be discussing the episode and stuff that happened in it

(Refer to the Stargate forum and how they discuss episodes)

Edit: Alternately if people could stick in US or IRL in the topic title depending on what episode you're talking about.

Ok, there's been a lot of spoiling going on... from now on any post with IRL in the title should only include information up until that point in the series...

US threads can contain any information as it's understood that everyone has seen the whole series...

    RIGHT?

I feel a headache coming on... ha

I was actually having a conversation about Lost in the pub the other day with a person who had seen about 90% of the series and a person who had seen only about 70%...

    It's not easy...

    How about UK:

I'll add that to the topic title

YAY! There'll be UK threads? EXCELLLENT. I had to stop watching Lost on RTE because of exams.

A recap... please do NOT post spoilers in posts not clearly marked SPOILER... if the thread has IRL in the title, only refer to things that have happened up to the episode on RTE, UK only ones shown on Channel 4 and US can discuss anything already shown...

Don't post spoilers in any other thread, even if spoiler tagged, because it's far far too tempting to read them...

If a thread has *spoilers" and US in the title there is no reason to use spoiler tags. Speculation is also not a spoiler.

I saw on another forum, in someone's post, that there was a little box which read '' Display Spoiler'' and if you clicked it a piece of text would come up.This was the spoiler.Do you guys know anything about these?it would make posting T.V threads a lot handier.

I didnt know how to do spoiler tags, but I learned. to make a spoiler tag its ["spoiler"] then text then ["/spoiler"] but no quotations.

Right, due to the fact that for a long time people were discussing obtaining the show from their "cousins" from now on discussing any method of obtaining the file in any other way than actually watching the episode on TV is a bannable offence (Zero tolerance, you will be banned permenantly, even if you use the "cousins" analogy)

Don't get me wrong here... I don't mean that you can't discuss US episodes...

This forum is for discussion of the Lost TV show, site about the Lost TV show, theories about the Lost TV show etc....

You may ONLY discuss the TV show or something to do with it. Methods of getting the show or saying "I'll be getting the show in 2hrs, 3mins and 27sec" will earn you a permenant ban...

We don't care where you watch the show, if you've seen it you can discuss it...

Since the Lost forum doesn't have a charter, I'll just put this here:

If anyone posts something on an episode discussion thread along the lines of "I read in an interview that xxxxx happens this season" or "I read on a website that Lindelof and Cuse said this happens later this season", there will be bans handed out. Lost fans are fanatical about the show, and don't want to read ANY SPOILERS WHATSOEVER about whats coming up (especially this season).
