Hi I'm new to the Boards so i'm not sure if this will work

Anyway... Me and one of my friends are going to Ocean City for the summer months on a J1... We've been ringing around Ocean City accomodations and no-one has anything for 2 people sharing. They all say the minimum is 4 or else it will cost us a fortune.

I was wondering if anyone on Boards is going to Ocean City for & would like to share accomodation or if they know anyone that is going could you get them to email me.

    My email address is slarrissey@hotmail.com

If anyone has any other suggestions as to how I might get around this problem I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance

I went to OC in 2001 on a J1 after graduating. There was just myself and another girl and although we did have someones couch to sleep on the first few nights we were pretty much alone. You will be amazed at the amount of Irish there so you just have to be confident and get chatting to as many as possible and in no time youll hook up with people in a similar position to you. The internet cafes are usually full of irish seeking people to get accommodation with them and most of them have notice boards advertising places, that’s where we found ours, in the end there were 9 of us in a 3 bed place with a few bunk beds and we bought blow up mattresses, cramped but great craic. So just try sort out a motel for the first few nights and by talking to others youll get together and find a place. Make sure you search for a job as soon as you arrive as there was a scarcity when I was there and you cant be picky either!Just chill everyone looks after eachother there and you will have a ball!!
