Would you consider buying second hand? This place has some really nice instruments at excellent prices.

This should do the trick, even if at €519 it's a little over budget, Warwick make lovely basses. I think the Doc might back me up on this, even though it's no Rickenbacker, Warwick really do rock.

you cant go wrong with an Ibanez SR505 5-String Bass. thats about $550?

Dunno about the rockbass series, been hearing mixed reports on them...

Have a gander at chrisguitars too, that Yamaha at the end is a bit of a bargain methinks

Really? I've not heard anything bad about them. I know the rockbass series are certainly the cheaper end of the Warwick spectrum, so they're not as good as a nice Infinity, but they're meant to be very good none the less.

    Buy This!

Put the effort in and save for this. I've a four-string version of this on its way at the moment and they're seriously rocking basses.

Yes. Do what this man says. Besides, that price is in dollars, wouldn't be more than 500 in euros.

Personally I'd love one of these babies.

Both, though I really, really like the Streamer body shape, it's got that Spector thing going on... nice.

i just think that they sound so much better...

Not a huge fan of the Infinity's to be honest. Not much of a fan of hollow-body basses in general. I love the Streamer's body shape. I think the humbuckers in my Streamer are active, not sure. :)

I like the active sound. It's nice for a good tight punch.

my aria is active, has a three band EQ built in, pretty handy. But do love the sound of passive jazzbass pick ups.

    passive for me thanks

Turns out my Streamer's pickups are passive. Would have been nice to fiddle around with actives but no complaints here. ;)
