Im getting into a band with serious intentions and basically need the equipment to match. I want to buy one of these bad boys but don't know a lot about them. From what I was told they re excellent. I was told the 'MAG' amps were a lot cheaper than ABM's. Im lookin to spend about 1,000euro. If there is anyone out there with experience using these amps, I would greatly appreciate it if you could recommend any particular range of ashdown. Would be willing to exceed price range. Cheers :D

I've got an ABM Evo 300 head and ABM 1x15" cab, it is really excellent. THe Ashdowns seem to break up less at higher volumes than a lot of other amps I've played. I've played a couple of MAGs and they're very decent too. If you can stretch to the ABM, then yeah do it man, you won't be disappointed.

While I agree that the ABM's are class and you should go for one if you can, don't look down your nose at the MAG's either. They sound gorgeous.

And since when have you two been mods? And from the looks of things Giblet is taking over the rest of the music section.

Well, I've been mod of FS Instruments for a while. Myself and Doc J were promoted earlier today.

It's a poisoned chalice... ahhh the pressure :p

Aye, big up for the MAGs but since I've mostly got experience of the ABM I've got to pimp it :)

Well the ABM is to the MAG what I am to an average person

    Ehhhhh yeah sure, whatever :)

I do like the look of these Ashdown Labs heads, an evolution of the old Trace design

Just had a gander at their site, sounds like a fun piece of kit. Be quite the stocking filler :)
