I hope they fix the squads.

I hate the fact i have to define the reserves.

I want to say have a fringe player who doesnt make the matchday squad, in the first time squad page but be able to say that he is available to play in the reserves. How hard could it be?

The fitness in the reserves is wrong as well. I mean every player in the reserves when you click on them is not match fit which is not the case in real life. Ok they wont be 100% fit but wont be far off it.

Finally i like the reserves to be used as a way of getting long term injuried players back to full fitness which is relates to the problem above.

will fm 2006 be able to run at a decent speed on the psp does anyone know? i cant imagine a machine so small being able to deal with so much information...sounds very enticing though

From what I can see, taken from sigames.com:
    • Managers will be able to negotiate with their board of directors - not only for a better contract for themselves, but also for improved player wage budgets and increased transfer budgets or even stadium expansion.
    • Half-time team talks add the ability to tell your players individually or collectively exactly what you thought of their first half performance, via the tactics screen.
    • Another welcome feature is the ability to manage players on a personal level.
    • A completely revamped training module simplifies training schedules and players' training progress, with your coaches becoming far more important members of backroom staff.
    • New media items and expansion of the media module have been implemented, including but not limited to, cup draw news and man of the match news.
    • Want to know how many yellow cards the ref looking after your Saturday match has given in the last few matches? Now you can, with referee profiles and league tables, which add an extra element to tactics of the game.
    • Also adding an extra tactical element to FM 2006, the player positions feature has been taken one step further. A player position indicator will not only show you the best positions for your player and where to play on the pitch, it will also show player preferred moves for those players in your team. As well as this, the Player Positions display format has been upgraded, making it easier for the manger to pick the team.

    Sounds great all-round.

You'd think sigames would concentrate on the awful speed performance of CM/FM games, instead of adding all these extra little features.

Oh and perhaps test it on a mac properly you whores (yes i am pissed)

No plans to actually make scouts useful then? They have been a leech on club wages since Championship Manager 2.

It would be better if fewer players appeared on the filter search for players (e.g. 17 - 18 year old players from Argentina who aren't very good appear in seaches - how would I ever have heard of these people?) and more emphasis was put on sending the scouts to certain regions.
Managers will be able to negotiate with their board of directors - not only for a better contract for themselves, but also for improved player wage budgets and increased transfer budgets or even stadium expansion.

Aside from negotiating wages, can we not do the other three already?

i think they mean you can ask for specific increases, like certain amount of money. Instead of a general increase. Makes it alot better hopefully.

they should introduce a opition in which you can ask a player to take a wage cut, or else he will have to be sold. Handy for when managing clubs in poor financial state.

Will the PSP version have all these cool features too? Surely it can't....
