Travel Insurance

Going on a 65 day trip to Mexico/California. Found this insurance company through www.gohop.ie
I am just wondering if, in general a travel insurance policy will cover a rented car abroad. In other words, will I have to pay for additional car insurance if I rent a car in california, or is it covered under persnal liability? It's not clear in their wording so if someone can help, that'd be sweet!

    Thanks

Sorry if this is a little off topic, i had insurance through getcover.com and was in hawaii and had a car accident, had to pay upfront for minor treatment (hundreds of euro) and when I got back getcover.com f.ed me around for the refund (four months later district court sorted).

If you have an accident on travel insurance when you go to the hospital be very very careful what you tell them or what is writtne down, if you can avoid it all all do not say it was a car accident, I don't know how they do it and what it feels to work in these insurance companies but they are the lowest, they tried everything to get me to go away.
