I'm looking to get a Tux for Friday. As cheap as possible. The price i'm getting from black tie is 45 euro, the price from aston i think is 45 too.

I'd consider buying one for around 150-200. I'd really like to buy one from one of those charity shops ( i don't mind paying 20 euro for a dead guys suit).

    Any ideas?

M&S have dinner jackets for 120 or 130 and trousers for about 70. They're not bad and also machine washable. Suits You on Grafton St have formal suits from 150 (at least they did when I bought mine a year ago).

If you're gonna buy one do it quick coz you'l prob have to get the trousers taken up and maybe the sleeves also.

Yeah I'd second M&S if you want to buy a new one. Otherwise Bond Brothers in Goatstown are very good if you are going to rent. If you are a student especially a first year the chances of getting to go to more balck tie gigs is huge so you would be better to buy one. Jenny Vanders in Georges Steet Market would be a little more pricey but you will get great quality ones. There are a number of charity shops in Ranelagh and around thown. I'd imagine it would be hit and miss as to availabilty. Really try to buy one and stay away from Black Tie !

good place to rent oposite the post office on st. anne street, truth be told you could also just run away with the tux cause they take your name at face value.

i got a nice suit from river island for just under 200, it was like 35 off if you bought the lot together, but you could try the Harlequin(across the road from the georges st arcade, but not georges st side!!) and the eager beaver(temple bar) for 2nd hand stuff.
