I'm 17 years old. I was out last night in a club with my friends. During the time we spent there my friend ask me if i "would be with Joanne"(a friend of ours). I quickly made and excuse and left the club. I was so embarrassed.

Can sum1 please tell me what this means. How far do u go? My friends are always sayin they were with girls in clubs. Where do u go? is it just kissing or is it more? PLEASE EXPLAIN!!!

Also, what is shifting? Is it another way of sayin sex?

In a club, "being with" someone generally means just kissing or (perhaps) a little more,ie. feeling them up etc. In some cases going home with them etc. However,that's never a given. Tis ALWAYS up to you.
Shifting is just kissing.

Try not to compare yourself to your friends. Who cares if they 'met' someone last night or whatever. Doesn't matter man. Seems like perhaps your old enough to set yourself up with people instead of your friends forcing you into somethin! And you can go as far as you want to man!

Shifting = kissing. I hate that awful word "shifting", it's just so bloody stupid, why do people use it, why oh why! They just make it so damn complicated for people who don't know what the word means.

As for your friends, if they were saying they were with girls in clubs, they probably mean "I kissed the girl".

And don't be comparing yourself to your friends, you do what you want to do, in your own time, don't feel you have to go off kissing random women in clubs just to be in with them, coz they are your friends - they won't care if you have kissed 0 women, 1 woman or 50 women.

Invariably in all these situations it starts with kissing and moves on from there depending on what the two people want. You will not (generally) be asked to have sex first and kiss later.

In some parts of the country it is actually quite vague.
