Just got back from it there. Knocked out in about 30th. Never really got a good rhythm going. Saw some strange hands tonight....

Just wondering how everyone got on? Dave and Des were doing alright when I left. Hopefully one of them will get some sort of a ticket ( although dave does seem to be collecting bad beats the last while!)

Also is anyone thinking of heading up tomorrow for the 50euro double chance? What are the numbers usually like for it?

was there for the first time tonight, but too broke for rebuys and didnt get any sort of luck at all in the 1st hour or so , so left when my free chips ran out.

my game was fairly boring, anything anyway promising died on the flop, and everything i folded (unlike usually when they pick up trips come the turn) would have gathered no better than 2nd highest pair with a crappy kicker.

oh well.

Tomorrow is the 55 + 50 with scalp, the double chance is on Tues. Usually around 90 runners. Good tourney although the quality of play isn't as high as you'd expect from a game costing €110. I swear the fact that it has scalps makes everyone go crazy to win an extra tenner.

I got knocked out in my iconic freeroll 16th position.

Dave lasted till the final table and missed the tickets.

I was dealing and after 2 hours of battling they decided to split the tickets and give the dealer enough for a ticket for tomorrow night. Which is pretty cool.
So Dessie finally money out of freeroll after 3 months. 45 quid an hour is a good rate actually.
Maybe i'll see u tomorrow. Its my favorite tourney of the week. I love the scalping! All-in!

I was gone around 11 when I decided to take a gamble with K 10 (blinds were at 300 / 600) and Nigel hit a 7 on the flop to make his 9 7 clubs 4xBB raise pay off

There were a good few at my table who played the free chips and left without getting rebuys / top-ups, makes me wonder how many full tickets were up for grabs? Seemed like a good crowd in for the cash games last night as well.

Hehe, that'll learn ye! I think I hit a 9 on the turn for two pair as well.

There were 4 x €270 tickets and 1 x €110 afair. I went out 7th when someone didn't respect my utg+1 raise when I had J9o and my messing about finally caught up with me. Oops.

And Des, you chancer, how did you swing that deal? If I had been there, you wouldn't have got a cent.

If its any consolation i peed it away tonight. Apart from winning one big blind in the first round I never won another hand. Oh yeah!

Still I got my silver ingot and lasted longer than A.Black!

Just got back from the freeroll there in the Merrion. won a ticket for the 100euro game on tuesdays. there was only 6 tickets from 90+ runners. seems like very small compared to the fitz?

Perhaps im only saying this because the last ticket i won was for 385euro. bit of a difference! Hardly seems worth playing till 2 in the morning for 100 euro ( minus 20 for re-buy + top-up ). What does everyone think of the merrion freerolls?

Another point to mention was that there is very little crossover between the merrion and the fitz. I only recognised about 5 people there that regularly play in the fitz freerolls. Do most people choose their favourite casino and play there more often?

A lot of the people who played tonight were pretty good and its strange that ive never seen them in the fitz. I myself prefer the fitz but i venture down the merrion the odd monday for the freeroll.
