Memory Access error?

    Playing World of Warcraft (well, I;ve ahd crashes in other games but not with this error message) and now an again - say, once in every 10 sessions (each session lasting an embaressing 4-8 hours) i get an error message that goes along the lines of

    error accessing memory 0348gb476 - the memory could not be 'written'

    sorry for lack of specifics - i'll screen shot it the next time - problem is its quite random - though if it happens once it usually happens a few times then...

    Any idea on how to combat this? Are there any settings i can change to 'dump' or refresh memory to avoid this error? Or am i looking at maybe having to buy new, better memory? Currently using 2x crucial 512mb PC2700 sticks (value range i think)...

    Any chance it could be the memory on my 9800 Pro?

    Get the exact error number and search MSft website for it.

    Its usually graphics driver related if encountered in a 3d game.

    so i've had no luck - bar changing memory i changed all settings in bios for memory - setiched to different slots - use one chipe instead of two... stilll gettign the same error....

    anyone got any ideas?

    nice one!

    I've basically being running crash free since UNDERCLOCKING the system and disabled dual channel support - however - running a amd3200cpu at 2000 and the ddr 333 at 166 does leave a bit to be desired - but i will check the sound card issue and report back!
