hi lads. i just put a comp together.

    i have

    EPoX EP-8KDA3J,nForce3 250Gb,Socket-754 ATX, SATA/ATA,GbLAN,Sound,DDR, AGP8X
NEC DVD recorder ND-3520A IDE Black OEM
Sony CD recorder 52x/32x/52x IDE black OEM
    TwinMOS PC3200 DDR-DIMM 2048MB Dual Pack
Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS, PCI Soundcard,THX,7.1,24-bit/192KHz
    Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 160GB IDE ATA/100 8MB 7200RPM
    AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.4GHz Socket 754
    karmon hardon sorruond sticks II

the only problem is after installing everything, my speakers worked fine. i shut the comp down. turned it back on and my sound no longer works.

in my hardware configuration i have these as "other devices"

    multimedia audio controller
    other pci bridge deice
    sm bus adapter

ive re-installed my sound drivers, and every bit of software i can find.
    but still no luck!

ive even removed the sound card, and used the on-board sound but it still doesnt work!

can someone maybe give me a bit of help?

    cheers lads

The only reason i can figure would be driver conflict.

When you put the card back in did it pick it up as a new device or notice it at all?

uninstalled and disabled the onboard sound?

Try putting the sound card in another PCI slot. Often conflicts arise based on the slot (esp if it's the one next to the AGP for some reason)

snapscan cheers m8. worked a charm now!
guess its cos it was beside the agp slot? but never had that prob before.
i thought it might have been cos i did raid on 2 of my hd's.
    but thats sorted now!
    cheers lads!

No prob. Enjoy your quality sound.

PCI next to AGP has always been dodgy for some reason.
