According to IMDB James Earl Jones will not be in ROTS.
Click here to have a look at the full cast list. Unless his speaking part is uncredited?

it's interesting actually, i cant find any recent articles on it, although i have found a couple of old ones

i'd say it's definately him alright, why wouldnt it be?

I am trying to find a clip where JEJ was on a morning show in the States a while back and stated he WOULD be the voice of Vader for a couple of lines....

    *********Spolier Alert*************
do not read if you do not want spoilers

It's not much to really get hyped over about anyway. JEJ talks for only a few seconds at the end. His lines are...

"Yes, my Master" and then, "Where's Padme, Is she safe? Is she alright?" Then we all know what happens, Palps tells him about how she died by his (Anakin's) own hand and he freaks out: "Noooooo!"

Probably ten or twenty seconds all together.

nope, thats just him talking about his piece ion the film, not his actual dialogue.

If it is just a 20 second part then that would explain the lack of credit for the part.

not really, he was in the original 3, or do you mean its understandable if its someone else?

    he sounds exactly the same

I know, but that can be done with a cheap sound mixer these days.

yeah and it was over 20 years since RotJ, so the dude could be tote, *checks IMDB* no, he's still alive, he was in a lot of movies I haven't seen in YEARS, he was in The Sandlot, what a movie... it doesn't say under his profile he is in SW, so its probably not him

I had a gander at IMDB again, and it had JEJ down to do the voice of Lord Vader

I saw it on Saturday, it's definitely him(and thank god, I didn't want to hear Hayden try to do it)

i have a mate who can do a very convincing dath vader impression into an empty pint glass. maybe it was him doing the voice. :D

I have nothing to back this up, purely anecdotal, but...

I'm told that years ago Lucas asked Jones to record some more lines for future movies. Jones said he would be only too happy but there's no rush, "I'll be around for a while yet". Lucas was insistent that they get the lines "in the can" so James obliged.
    So it is him.
But it begs the question, can George Lucas see into the future? And if so, why did he still persist with Jar Jar?

It was definitely James Earl Jones again. I could tell even from the trailer with the chilling "Yes, Master" piece.

It's not a big thing that he wasn't credited, he wasn't credited in the original trilogy either. Then I think he was credited on re-releases of Return of the Jedi and then on all three when the special edition was released.

but it sounds odd when he says "Master" strong pronounciation of the "er" wereas in the originals it sounded like "Masta"

I have to say my first impression that it was nit him but someone doing a very good impression of him. Would be interesting to find out for sure.

I'd find it very hard to believe that james Earl Jones wouldn't want to record a few lines of dialogue for one of the most inconic characters in cinema history, and one of the most important characters of his career. I also doubt George Lucas would want to get someone else, if he did surely Frank Oz wouldn't have been called back as Yoda.
